WERC-CÉDT prepared a submission to the Environmental Justice and Racism Team at Environment and Climate Change Canada on its draft National Strategy Respecting Environmental Racism and Environmental Justice. WERC-CÉDT focused its submission on the need for a broad understanding of environmental racism - it should be defined broadly enough to include temporary foreign workers, a highly vulnerable and mostly racialized group which bear a disproportionate burden of environmental harms.
