WERC launches Canadian Human Rights Act Guide
WERC is pleased to announce the launch of our Canadian Human Rights Act Guide, a plain-language guide on the Canadian Human Rights Act process for complainants and their advocates. If you or someone you know is thinking of filing a discrimination complaint under the Canadian Human Rights Act, or has an ongoing complaint with the Canadian Human Rights Commission, our Guide is here to help you navigate the process.
The Guide includes:
· Information to help you decide whether to file a complaint;
· Information on how to prepare and file a complaint;
· Information on how the Canadian Human Rights Commission will handle your complaint after it is filed; and,
· Links to helpful information if your complaint goes to the Canadian Human Rights Tribunal.
WERC-CÉDT thanks RavenLaw LLP, Unifor Social Justice Fund, Public Service Alliance of Canada, and Association of Canadian Financial Officers for their support in preparing the Guide.
