WERC delivers webinar on supporting clients with Canadian Human Rights Act complaints

WERC recently partnered with Community Legal Education Ontario to deliver a webinar for frontline community workers on supporting clients with Canadian Human Rights Act complaints. Legal and Programs Director Amanda Montague-Reinholdt provided an overview of the Canadian Human Rights Act process, including:

• What the Canadian Human Rights Act is and when it applies,
• How it is different than the Ontario Human Rights Code,
• How to help a client assess whether they have a human rights complaint,
• Preparing and filing a complaint, and
• Where to go to get more help
