WERC-CÉDT makes submission to federal Labour Program on worker health and safety protections from climate change
WERC-CÉDT recently participated in consultations by the Labour Program, Employment and Social Development Canada, on reforms to Canada’s federal labour policy. WERC-CÉDT focused its submission on strengthening workplace health and safety protections from climate change impacts.

Occupational health and safety regimes need to adapt to address this pressing challenge. WERC-CÉDT has proposed several concrete reforms that will better protect federally regulated workers from climate hazards.
